Family Day in Uvalde

In early March, Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and The Archewell Foundation hosted a heartwarming day of unity, healing, and unwavering support in Uvalde, Texas with our partners at KABOOM!. This gathering brought together parents and children from the local community for an afternoon of engaging activities and quality time. 

The Duchess first visited Uvalde in 2022 following the tragic shooting at Robb Elementary School. Since that poignant visit, she has maintained the bonds with families she met, and along with The Archewell Foundation, has remained deeply involved in the community.

Spurred by their initial visit and recognizing the profound need for a sanctuary that fosters joy and healing for children, The Duke and Duchess championed the creation of a playground as a symbol of hope for the community. Unveiled in October 2022, this playground has since blossomed into a vibrant hub of unity and promise for the city, symbolizing the enduring power of community and their continuous pursuit of a brighter tomorrow.
